HOW THE GUARANTEE SCHEME WORKS

With its operation, the Investment Guarantee Fund constitutes, along with the Deposit Insurance Fund, a comprehensive guarantee scheme for clients who invest in the money market and capital market in the Slovak Republic. The Investment Guarantee Fund is an entity supervised by the National Bank of Slovakia. Its activity and management are subject to strict rules regulated by the laws of the Slovak Republic. The Fund provides compensation for protected client assets up to EUR 50,000 on the day on which the client assets held by the person participating in client protection became unavailable pursuant to Section 82(1) of Act No. 566/2001 Coll. on securities and investment services and on amendments and supplements to certain laws as amended.

The compensation is provided to one natural or legal person fulfilling the conditions pursuant to Act No. 566/2001 Coll. on securities and investment services and on amendments and supplements to certain laws as amended.
